In a disturbing case that deeply shocked Faridabad, a local court has sentenced a 54-year-old man to life imprisonment for the abduction and murder of a woman in 2022. The convict, Singh Raj, was identified by investigators as a serial offender involved in six killings, including three minors. His crimes spread fear across the region and exposed serious gaps in early detection.

The case came to light when a 20-year-old woman from Bhupani village went missing in early 2022. Days later, her body was recovered near the Agra Canal. Following intensive investigation and interrogation, Singh Raj was arrested after confessing to the crime.

As police dug deeper, chilling details emerged. The accused, who worked as a security guard at a private hospital, was connected to several unsolved murders. These included the killing of a tea vendor’s daughter in 2019, a 12-year-old girl inside the hospital premises in 2020, and another minor working as a cleaner in 2021. During questioning, he also admitted to murdering his own uncle and cousin.

Investigators noted that his position allowed him easy access to victims while avoiding suspicion for years. The revelation that multiple murders were carried out unnoticed raised serious questions about institutional safety and monitoring.

During the trial, the court examined statements from 29 witnesses and reviewed extensive forensic evidence. Additional Sessions Judge Purushottam Kumar delivered the verdict, sentencing Singh Raj to life imprisonment along with a fine exceeding ₹2.1 lakh.

The judgment brought a sense of relief to families who had lived in fear for years. While legal proceedings in related cases are still underway, authorities say the ruling marks a critical step toward justice.

The case stands as one of the most horrifying crime stories in the region’s recent history, reminding society of the importance of vigilance, accountability, and swift investigation.
