Bihar: Increase in Honorarium for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, Nitish Kumar Announces

The Bihar government has announced an increase in the honorarium for Anganwadi workers and helpers. The honorarium for Anganwadi workers has been raised from ₹7,000 to ₹9,000, while that for Anganwadi helpers has been increased from ₹4,000 to ₹4,500.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that workers and helpers play a crucial role in improving the nutrition and living standards of children and pregnant women. Considering their contribution, the government has taken this decision.

Several organizations have welcomed the government’s move, saying it will boost the morale of Anganwadi employees and enable them to deliver their services more effectively.
