Ukraine has agreed to support the U.S. proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia, following "milestone" talks where the U.S. pledged to resume military aid and intelligence sharing. The U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, announced that the offer would be presented to Russia, making it their decision.
The ceasefire, which could be extended by mutual agreement, would halt missile, drone, and bomb attacks across the entire front line. U.S. officials also agreed to lift the pause on intelligence sharing and security assistance to Ukraine. Both sides are working on a comprehensive agreement to develop Ukraine's critical mineral resources.
Humanitarian efforts, including prisoner exchanges and the return of forcibly transferred children, were also highlighted. The agreement is now awaiting Russia's acceptance, with U.S. officials preparing to present it in Moscow.
