Indian Air Force officer Shiladitya Bose, who claimed assault over a language dispute in Bengaluru, is now booked for attempted murder after CCTV footage showed
Indian Air Force officer Shiladitya Bose, who earlier alleged he was assaulted during a road rage incident in Bengaluru for not speaking Kannada, has now been booked for attempted murder and making false claims. CCTV footage that emerged contradicts his version, showing him physically assaulting the biker, identified as Vikas. The incident occurred early Monday near Tin Factory junction while Bose and his wife were en route to the airport.
Following Vikas’s complaint, an FIR was registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including attempted murder and intentional insult. Bengaluru’s Byappanahalli Police also arrested Vikas, a call centre team head, for allegedly attacking Bose. DCP (East) Devaraj D confirmed both parties were involved in the altercation.
Eyewitnesses reported that the clash began when a Swiggy delivery bike brushed against Bose’s car. The officer claimed he was hit with a stone and his car keys were thrown. However, the footage reportedly shows Bose returning later and assaulting the delivery rider with 20–30 punches, appearing visibly agitated and injured himself, with a bleeding face.
