Meghalaya Police files a comprehensive 790-page chargesheet in the high-profile Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.
In a significant development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police has filed a detailed 790-page chargesheet in high-profile murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore resident whose tragic death happened during his honeymoon in May 2025. The chargesheet, submitted to Judicial Magistrate First Class, Sohra Sub-Division Court in Shillong, name five individuals, including Raja's wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, as the primary accused.
The investigation reveals that Sonam and Raj was involved in a secret relationship, and their affair allegedly lead to the conspiracy to murder Raja. The chargesheet outlines a carefully planned execution of the crime, detailing the roles of all five accused in the plot. Substantial material evidences and enclosures are presented to the court, which strengthen the case against the accused.
