A major claim has now emerged in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. Former Maharashtra ATS officer Mehboob Mujawar has made a sensational revelation, stating that he was ordered to arrest Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.
According to Mujawar, the directive came from some senior officials in the investigating agency at the time. However, the course of the investigation was suddenly changed, and the matter was shelved. He added that several documents and pieces of evidence related to the case still exist, and if made public, they could trigger a major political storm.
This revelation has caused a stir in political circles. However, so far, there has been no official response either from the ATS or from the RSS.
The blast that took place in 2008 in Malegaon, Maharashtra, had claimed six lives and left several others injured. Several individuals, including Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, were accused in the case, which remained in the spotlight for a long time. Mujawar’s new claim has once again reignited this old case.
