A landslip struck the old route leading to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Monday morning (July 21, 2025), injuring at least four pilgrims, officials confirmed. Triggered by heavy rainfall that hit Katra town the base camp for devotees heading to the revered shrine atop the Trikuta hills the landslip occurred around 8:50 a.m. at Gulshan Ka Langar near Banganga. This location is a key point where pony riders usually assemble along the old pilgrimage track.
