India has taken a bold step in strengthening its strategic defense capability by successfully testing the Agni-Prime missile from a rail-based mobile launcher. Conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), this was the first-ever rail launch of its kind in India a feat that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described as a landmark moment.

The Agni-Prime is an intermediate-range ballistic missile with a reach of nearly 2,000 kilometers. By integrating it into the rail network, the missile can now be deployed discreetly and rapidly across different terrains, making it harder for adversaries to track or target.
