A heated political battle has disturbed after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s sensational “surrender” remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Gandhi of insulting the Indian Army by suggesting that Modi surrendered during the India-Pakistan military conflict after a phone call from then-US President Donald Trump. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said Gandhi’s words echoed language not even used by Pakistan-backed terrorists, and stated his views on the Lok Sabha election results as deeply flawed.

Trivedi moved further, criticizing the Congress party’s past, claiming there’s a pattern of surrender seen across the Nehru-Gandhi family’s history, including territorial losses to Pakistan. He glorified PM Modi as the "lion of mother India" and accused the opposition INDIA of showing more sympathy towards Pakistan, stating, “INDIA is in their name, but Pakistan is in their heart.”

Meanwhile, Congress leader Pawan Khera responded sharply, launching a personal attack on Modi by saying, “Naam Narender, kaam surrender,” implying the Prime Minister lacks strong leadership. Khera also accused the BJP of a history of cowardice, adding that when such a person leads the country, its future is at risk.

He further questioned Modi’s silence in response to Trump’s repeated claims that he used trade pressure to stop India-Pakistan tensions. “In the last 22 days, the US President mentioned this over a dozen times, yet the Prime Minister remains silent,” Khera said.

This political clash highlights deep divisions between the two major parties, with the BJP framing Gandhi’s remark as an attack on national pride, while Congress continues to question Modi’s decisions and his ability to lead with strength and clarity.
