Just recently, a rare Labubu doll soared to new heights on eBay, selling for ₹9.15 lakh (around $10,500) — which is 125 times more than its original price of ₹7,400.

This particular Labubu is grey-brown in color, dressed in Vans streetwear, and sitting on a skateboard — with "The Monsters" written on its cap. It was part of a 2023 blind box collaboration between Pop Mart and Vans.

When it first launched, it was priced at just $85 (₹7,400).

Labubu’s blind box model (where you don’t know which doll you’re getting until you open it) and limited availability have made them highly desirable among collectors. Many such "secret editions" have been sold for thousands of dollars.

A pink edition called "Catch Me If You Like Me" once sold for $2,000 on eBay.

The "Three Wise Labubu" set went for $28,300 at Sotheby’s, and a life-size Labubu crossed $170,000 at a Beijing auction.

The doll was designed by Hong Kong-based artist Kasing Lung, inspired by Nordic mythology.

In 2024, Blackpink’s Lisa showcased it on Instagram, causing its popularity to explode — and now celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Dua Lipa have also been seen flaunting it.

China has started cracking down on fake Pop Mart items (like "Lafufu"), boosting both the brand value and consumer trust in Pop Mart products.

Pop Mart’s sales jumped 1,200% in 2025, largely driven by the Labubu collector craze, massively expanding the brand’s global impact.
