Sonali Bendre says early dinner eased her cancer scare journey, supported by expert advice. Eating at 6:30–7 pm improved her metabolic and emotional health duri
Sonali Bendre emphasizes in her conversation with Farah Khan that she began having an early dinner around 6:30 to 7 pm. She credits this early dinner routine with helping her navigate a difficult cancer scare and enhancing her overall wellness during that challenging time. In her Punjabi household, where meals are traditionally rich and heavy, Sonali found it challenging to keep her habits simple and light. But shifting her dinner to an earlier hour made a noticeable difference in digestion and energy levels. She even admitted jokingly that if others ate later, “if I had to sit with them, it was very unfortunate”.
Dr. Rajiv Kovil is a famous diabetes expert and advisor to weight loss, who recommends having a dinner. According to him, eating early helps to control blood sugar, provides enough time for digestion before sleep and the risk of metabolic problems and high blood pressure is also reduced. This habit of eating light and early in the evening also promotes the choice of better sleep and healthy food. According to the doctor, it reduces the desire to eat late at night and helps maintain emotional balance, which is very important for a person recovered from a serious disease like cancer.
Sonali's story teaches us that small changes made in lifestyle, such as early dinner, can play an important role in health and treatment. The experience he shared by him shows how a simple habit brought positive changes in the process and thinking of his recovery, which can become an inspiration for many others.
