Popular television couple Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar are going through one of the most difficult phases of their lives. Dipika, known for her warmth and mercy, has been found with stage 2 liver cancer. As she prepares for a overcritical and long surgery, scheduled for June 3, Shoaib has turned to fans and well-wishers for support.

Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, Shoaib said that the surgery is a significant moment in their journey and urged everyone to remember Dipika in their prayers. “Tomorrow is going to be a big day for us. Dippi’s surgery is scheduled in the morning and it’s going to be a long one. Please pray for her,” he wrote, adding folded hand emojis to show his heartfelt plea.

This tough time began a few weeks ago when Dipika experienced discomfort in her upper stomach. What initially seemed like a common issue turned out to be a tumour the size of a tennis ball in her liver. After several tests, doctors confirmed it was malignant. Alongside the tumour, Dipika is also dealing with pain from a gall bladder stone.

Earlier, her surgery had to be postponed because she had flu-like symptoms and a viral infection. Now that she is stronger, doctors are ready to proceed with the operation and are hopeful that removing the tumour will help her recover.

Apart from the emotional and physical pain, Dipika stays strong and positive. “With my family by my side and all the love and prayers coming in, I believe I will come out of this stronger. InshaAllah,” she shared.

Dipika and Shoaib, who recently became parents to their son Ruhaan, are keeping onto hope and belief, supported by their fans' unwavering love.
