Actor Salman Khan disclosed his ongoing struggle with trigeminal neuralgia, a brain aneurysm, and arteriovenous malformation, yet confirmed he continues working
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has opened up about his ongoing struggle with multiple serious health conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia, a brain aneurysm, and arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Speaking candidly during his recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Khan shocked fans by detailing the physical pain and neurological challenges he endures while continuing to work in the film industry. Despite battling these life-altering conditions, the actor appeared in good physical shape on the show and reiterated his dedication to work and resilience through adversity.
Trigeminal neuralgia, often referred to as the "suicide disease," is a chronic pain condition affecting the trigeminal nerve in the face, known for causing excruciating pain. Khan had previously disclosed his diagnosis in 2017, but this is the first time he has revealed the added complications of a brain aneurysm and AVM. A brain aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel that can lead to a hemorrhagic stroke if ruptured, while AVM is a rare vascular disorder that disrupts normal blood flow and poses severe neurological risks. Khan admitted that even with broken ribs and these severe health issues, he continues to work.
In a lighter moment during the interview, Salman humorously linked his decision to remain unmarried to the financial risks of divorce, noting that restarting at his age would be difficult. "I’m still working despite all this," he stated. The actor’s revelation has drawn admiration from fans for his transparency and courage in the face of major health challenges. While no immediate concerns were raised about his current projects, the news has sparked widespread discussion about celebrity health and the pressure to remain professionally active despite serious medical conditions.
