Netflix has officially announced the premiere date of its upcoming romantic drama Aap Jaisa Koi, starring R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. The film will release on July 11, 2025, exclusively on the streaming platform. Directed by Vivek Soni and produced under Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment banner, the announcement was accompanied by a new poster that gives viewers a glimpse into the warm chemistry between the lead pair.

Set against the backdrop of academia and everyday life, Aap Jaisa Koi tells the story of Shrirenu, a quiet and traditional Sanskrit teacher played by Madhavan, and Madhu, a spirited French language instructor portrayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film dives into themes of connection, belonging, and the idea of “barabari wala pyaar”, an equal kind of love that emerges when least expected. The narrative unfolds as these two contrasting personalities cross paths, exploring companionship, emotional healing, and self-discovery.
