Team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has added a new chapter in his personal life, getting engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in a private ritual in Lucknow. The event, attended by close family and friends, also saw a cricketer's appearance Rinku Singh. Vanshika, who works with LIC and belongs from Shyam Nagar, has known Kuldeep since their initial years, with their friendship gradually turning into love.

This special moment in Kuldeep’s life came soon after the inference of the 2025 IPL, where he was Delhi Capitals’ top wicket-taker, lifting up 15 wickets from 14 games. Delhi Capitals finished fifth in the tournament.

Now, Kuldeep is preparing for India’s upcoming five-match Test series in England, starting June 20. This series marks the beginning of a new World Test Championship cycle and comes at a time when the Indian cricket team is undergoing a major shift. The group has seen the alumni of key figures like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin, ushering in a new era.

Kuldeep is being seen as an able replacement for Ashwin in the red-ball format. Known for his skill in white-ball cricket and a solid Test record, he is a strong candidate. However, he faces competition from spinners like Axar Patel and Washington Sundar. Kuldeep, who made him highlight under Kohli and flourished further under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, is now one of the more experienced players in the squad. With prime experience playing in England, he will be looking to make a strong impact and solidify his place in the Test team during this important series.
