Filmmaker Pulls Down Ghooskhor Pandat Amid Backlash

The teaser of the upcoming film Ghooskhor Pandat recently sparked heavy criticism across social media and public platforms. Soon after its release strong reactions began pouring in from viewers who felt the title carried offensive tones and could be misunderstood as targeting a particular community. The response was intense enough that the director Neeraj Pandey decided to pull down all promotional material related to the film.

In response Neeraj Pandey issued a clarification explaining that the title was never meant to represent any caste religion or community. According to him the film is a cop drama focusing on individual choices and moral conflicts rather than commentary on any group.

Despite defending the creative intent Pandey also acknowledged that the title had hurt sentiments. He apologised for the discomfort caused and said the decision to remove the teaser was taken out of respect for public feelings. The makers said they would reassess how the film is presented and ensure better clarity around its context.

The film stars Manoj Bajpayee along with Nushrratt Bharuccha Akshay Oberoi Saqib Saleem and Divya Dutta. While no fresh release timeline has been announced the team hopes audiences will judge the project once the full narrative is available.

The controversy has also triggered wider discussion in the industry about creative freedom versus social responsibility.
