Ayushmann Khurrana Thamma Tumbles Over 60 percent on Tuesday Tastes Box Office Dip

Date: Nov 12, 2025 | Source: Fela News

The recently released film Thamma starring Ayushmann Khurrana has recorded a sharp drop in its box office collection, bringing in only Rs 15 lakh on Tuesday a decline of around 62 % compared to Monday. Currently the film is nearing a total collection of Rs 131.61 crore, positioning it to become one of Ayushmann’s biggest hits to date.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and co‐starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal, the film had opened to much anticipation. However, the steep Tuesday drop could be attributed to the OTT release date leak the film is scheduled for streaming from December 2.

Despite the dip, the film is on track to surpass a key career milestone for Ayushmann: if it crosses the mark of Rs 137.31 crore (the lifetime collection of his film Badhaai Ho), it will become his second‐highest grosser. Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up for an exciting 2026 lineup, with several releases including the much‐anticipated Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 and a new romantic collaboration with Sara Ali Khan.

Industry observers say the November dip might be a natural weekend‐after effect, especially when OTT buzz starts early. The film’s performance will now depend on sustained footfalls in the coming days, competition from other releases and how the digital premiere affects the remaining theatrical run.
