Mumbai police registered a rape case against actor Ajaz Khan on Sunday after a woman accused him of raping her under the false pretext of helping her enter the film industry. The 30-year-old woman alleged that Khan raped her at multiple locations while promising film roles. Khan has been charged under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code related to rape, and an investigation is underway.

The FIR was filed a day after Khan was named in another case for alleged obscene content in his web show House Arrest, streamed on the Ullu app. Activist Gautam Ravriya filed the complaint, accusing Khan, along with producer Rajkumar Pandey and others associated with the show, of promoting vulgar content that insulted women's dignity. The charges include violations of the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. The controversy sparked after a clip went viral, showing Khan pressuring contestants to perform intimate acts and making inappropriate comments. BJP MLC Chitra Wagh has called for an immediate ban on the show.
