TVS Motor Company has made a historic move in Indian motorsport by becoming the first two-wheeler manufacturer to supply race-tuned motorcycles for a national championship category. At the 2025 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC), scheduled from June 6–8 at the Madras International Circuit, TVS is introducing the Apache GP200R for the newly launched Pro Stock 200 class. This initiative is designed to boost both accessibility and performance in Indian racing by providing high-tech machines to independent racing teams.
The Apache GP200R is a race-ready 200cc motorcycle, significantly transferred from its standard model. It delivers over 40% more power, weighs just 105 kg, and can reach top speeds exceeding 155 km/h. It features advanced updates like a high-lift camshaft, quickshifter, adjustable suspension, and aerodynamic bodywork all aimed at giving racers a competitive edge. TVS is also offering complete technical support through the PETRONAS TVS Racing team to ensure these machines perform at their best.
To encourage involvement, TVS and MIC selected 12 racers from seven teams through a careful screening process held on May 28. This hardwork is expected to make motorsport more inclusive and in budget, helping fresh talent to emerge.
In the Pro Stock 300–400cc category, TVS Racing has refreshed its follow up for 2025. With racing wolf Jagan Kumar now serving as a rider coach, new talents like Rakshith Dave, Alwin Sundar, and KY Ahamed are set to take the legacy forward.
With over 43 years in Indian racing and the Apache series celebrating its 20th year, TVS continues to influence racing lifestyle deeply. The Apache Owners Group, now over 400,000 strong, reflects the brand’s strong presence both on and off the track.
