Today, i.e., Tuesday, April 15, 2025, gold prices saw another drop. The rate of gold has decreased by approximately ₹250 per 10 grams. In many major cities, the price of 24-carat gold is currently hovering around ₹95,500 per 10 grams.

Similarly, 22-carat gold is priced between ₹87,000 and ₹88,000 per 10 grams. This dip in prices ahead of the wedding and festive season is good news for those planning to buy gold.

City-wise Gold Prices (Per 10 Grams):

City 22-Carat Gold Rate 24-Carat Gold Rate
Delhi ₹87,690 ₹95,650
Chennai ₹87,540 ₹95,500
Mumbai ₹87,540 ₹95,500
Kolkata ₹87,540 ₹95,500
Jaipur ₹87,690 ₹95,650
Noida ₹87,690 ₹95,650
Ghaziabad ₹87,690 ₹95,650
Lucknow ₹87,690 ₹95,650
Bengaluru ₹87,540 ₹95,500
Patna ₹87,540 ₹95,500

Why are gold prices falling?

According to experts, the strengthening of the US dollar and a rise in US bond yields have put pressure on gold prices in the international market. Additionally, domestic demand has slightly declined, contributing to the fall in prices.

Silver Prices Remain Steady

Unlike gold, silver prices haven't seen significant changes. Silver is currently priced around ₹99,800 per kilogram. Although silver has been volatile in recent weeks, the price trend appears stable for now.
