UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024: Registration Ends Today; Details Inside

Today, March 6, 2024, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will end the Civil Services Examination (CSE) registration procedure.

UPSC on Tuesday extended the deadline for CSE 2024 registration. According to the first notice, the deadline for registration was March 5, which has since been extended until March 6.

Eligible and interested applicants can apply online at the official website, upsconline.nic.in.

“The submission deadline for CS(P)-IFoS(P)-2024 has been extended until 06-03-2024 (06:00 PM),” the official website noted.

The UPSC CSE preliminary exam will take place on May 26, 2024, with the mains exams beginning September 20 and lasting five days.

The Commission has notified 1,056 vacancies for the civil services exam this year including 40 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability category. Out of the 40 vacancies for PwD category candidates, 6 vacancies are for blind and low vision candidates, 12 for deaf and hard of hearing, 9 for locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy, and 13 vacancies for multiple disabilities.

Eligibility

1. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and no more than 32 years old.

2. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Candidates who have taken their final year exams and are awaiting results can also apply.

3. Age relaxations are available for reserved category candidates.

4. There is no minimum percentage required for graduation.

5. Candidates of Indian origin who have migrated from certain countries with the intention of permanently settling in India must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Step 3: Click on the registration link and proceed to fill out the application form with your details.

Step 4: Upload the necessary documents as per the guidelines and make the payment for the application fee.

Step 5: Once completed, download and print a copy of the application form for your records and future reference.
