On July 9, 2025, Emerson, known for its industrial technology and advanced automation solutions, announced a strategic partnership with Tata Technologies, a provider of product engineering and digital services. The collaboration is aimed at developing integrated testing and validation solutions for global OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) across the automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle industries.

In a joint statement, the companies said the alliance would combine Emerson’s expertise in software-connected test and measurement systems with Tata Technologies’ global engineering capabilities and strong background in systems engineering, E/E architectures, and mobility platforms. The goal is to help OEMs tackle the increasing complexity of software-defined, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles by offering intelligent, scalable, and cost-efficient validation solutions that shorten development cycles and reduce costs.

Shitendra Bhattacharya, India director and country head of Emerson’s Test and Measurement division, highlighted the synergy between Emerson’s innovation and Tata’s engineering scale. He emphasized the potential of this collaboration to deliver comprehensive solutions that simplify product development in a rapidly evolving transportation industry.

Tata Technologies' automotive sales head, Nachiket Paranjpe, said the partnership reflects their shared vision of a software-driven future, aiming to accelerate innovation and deliver sustainable, connected mobility experiences.

The partnership has already shown promising results. In one case, the team built EV powertrain test rigs for a European luxury OEM in just five months—a 67% improvement over the typical 15-month timeline. In another project, they created a fully automated validation setup for a premium European brand’s infotainment head-up display, running over 30,000 test scenarios to boost product development speed.

Pilot initiatives are currently underway in India, Europe, and North America, with plans for additional joint projects and customer collaborations, the companies added.
