New Delhi: Aaftab Ameen Poonawala’s internet search history has revealed that he watched over 100 hours of the much-publicised Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial live after killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar.
According to Delhi Police, Aaftab closely followed every aspect of the trial, ranging from domestic abuse and the kind of attacks the couple had on one another.
Aaftab also read extensively about the defamation trial and the police suspect that he may have used it to come up with a way to manage himself during interrogation and mislead the investigating officers.
Aaftab Poonawala, 28, is accused of strangling his live-in partner and cut her body into 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in south Delhi’s Mehrauli before dumping them across the metropolis over several days. He repeated the confession he made in the polygraph test during the narco test on December 1 and said he killed Shraddha “in a fit of rage”.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to find the skull of Shraddha Walkar and are still hunting for the same along with other remaining parts of the body.
Poonawala was arrested on November 12 and sent to five-day police custody, which was further extended by five days on November 17. The court on November 26 sent him to judicial custody for 13 days.
