Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan Applaud Suhana Khan’s Debut in The Archies

Bollywood’s iconic couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, couldn’t hide their pride as they lauded their daughter, Suhana Khan, for her upcoming film, “The Archies.” Suhana, alongside Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda, is set to take Netflix by storm on December 7.

Shah Rukh Khan, who took to Instagram to share the film’s trailer, referred to “The Archies” as a “contemporary subject with timeless characters.” He painted the film as an innocent and pristine world, much like what our own world could be with a more responsible environmental outlook. Expressing his best wishes, he praised the entire team for their efforts, with heartfelt responses pouring in from his daughter and fellow cast members.

Gauri Khan, too, couldn’t contain her excitement, sharing the film’s trailer on her Instagram. She marveled at the film’s beautiful world and its endearing characters. She extended her gratitude to the director, Zoya Akhtar, and wished the entire “The Archies” family the very best.

“The Archies” promises to whisk viewers away to the whimsical world of the 1960s in the fictional town of Riverdale, India, as depicted in the beloved Archie comics. The trailer introduces the seven central characters, with Agastya Nanda as Archie, Khushi Kapoor as Betty, Suhana Khan as Veronica, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead, Vedang Raina as Reggie, Dot as Ethel, and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton.

This Indian adaptation of the iconic comic is a labor of love, crafted by talented writers Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, and Ayesha Devitre. Produced by Tiger Baby, Graphic India, and Archie Comics, the film is poised to bring the world of Archie and his friends to life like never before. Viewers can mark their calendars for December 7, as that’s when “The Archies” will grace screens on Netflix.
