President Droupadi Murmu has stated that Yoga is an essential gift from India to the international society. She was addressing today in Lonavala, Maharashtra, after inaugurating a national conference on the integration of Yoga in School Education System hosted by Kaivalyadhama as part of its centenary year celebrations.
According to the President, Yoga Day has been observed in the majority of countries since 2015. She cited a United Nations General Assembly decision stating that yoga practice gives a comprehensive approach to health and well-being and is helpful to the health of the whole international population. According to the President, Indian knowledge heritage has been given a prominent role in the National Education Policy 2020 with the goal of assisting yoga advantages.
According to the President, yoga is a road to comprehensive growth and is an efficient way of physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual advancement.
She added that outstanding figures such as Swami Kuvalayananda popularized the scientific method and practicality of the yoga system in the twentieth century. Swami Kuvalayanand ji, according to President Murmu, placed a high value on the promotion of yoga education in schools.
She is certain that Kaivalya Vidya Niketan, a school operated by Kaivalyadhama Sansthan, would provide a good example for other schools. She also stated her belief that ‘Kaivalyadhama’ will continue to be a successful synthesis of yoga tradition and science.
Swami Kuvalayananda founded Kaivalyadhama in 1924, making it one of the world’s earliest pioneering yoga institutions. It adheres to Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga principles and philosophy. Kaivalyadhama is the first Yoga institute to perform proactive scientific study to illustrate the advantages and applications of Yoga.
