Mukesh Ambani Unveils Major Announcements at Reliance AGM 2023

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, spoke to the 46th annual general meeting on Monday via video conference. He described India as “unstoppable and tireless” in the opening of his speech.

“New India exudes self-assurance. This India is tireless and unstoppable. India will become a major power. The G20 chairmanship by India is historic, he declared. “There are ominous clouds of uncertainty hanging over us when we consider the geopolitical and economic scenario. There is, however, one distinct, undeniable light of assurance. In our more multi-polar world, there is little doubt that India will become a prominent country, Ambani continued.

At the Reliance AGM in 2023, significant announcements were made :-

Akash, Anant, and Isha have joined the board of directors of the company, according to Mukesh Ambani. His wife Nita will no longer serve on the board but will continue to be invited to meetings on a regular basis. He declared that Nita had been his finest adviser and greatest source of support and that he would continue to serve as chairman and managing director for another five years while developing the leaders of tomorrow.

On September 19, the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, Reliance Jio will introduce AirFiber. In essence, AirFiber uses no cables and transmits internet speed comparable to fibre. It only requires plugging it in and turning it on. According to Jio’s website, you now have a personal Wi-Fi hotspot in your house that is connected to True 5G for ultra-fast internet.

Mukesh Ambani announced that his company is committed to 2,000 Mw of AI-ready processing power as part of a major artificial intelligence (AI) drive. To offer AI to everyone and everywhere, he stated, “Jio Platforms wants to lead the effort in developing India-specific AI models and AI-powered solutions across domains. This will enable Indian citizens, businesses, and government to benefit equally from AI.”

Nita Ambani, the chairwoman of the Reliance Foundation, said that a special programme to support 1 million women entrepreneurs across India has been started as part of the organization’s charitable endeavour in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This initiative, she said, “will support and engage women in farm and non-farm income-generating activities over the next three years, helping them achieve an annual income of at least 1 lakh.”

Reliance will build 100 compressed biogas plants to turn agricultural waste into gas, according to Mukesh Ambani’s announcement. “We’ll build this up quickly to 25 CBG factories in India. Our goal is to build 100 CBG plants over the next five years, using 5.5 million tonnes of organic waste and agro-residue to produce 2.5 million tonnes of organic manure annually while reducing roughly 2 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
