Last Day to Register for January Semester at Indira Gandhi National Open University

Today, February 15, is the last day to register for the January semester at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Interested individuals can register for various courses at IGNOU’s official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

First-time candidates should click the available programme option on the Online Admission System’s site, pick the desired programme, and carefully study the program specifics such as eligibility requirements, cost details, length, and so on. Applicants should download the Common Prospectus and thoroughly study the university’s instructions.

Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission.

Steps to fill out the registration form:

1. Visit https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/
2. Click on the button New Registration that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
3. Provide your own email and mobile number at the time of registration. The username must be between 8 to 16 characters. The password must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
4. After filling the mandatory information click the ‘Submit’ button.
5. Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS. It will be required for subsequent login. If you have already registered, click on the ‘Login’ button.

Documents required

Before proceeding to fill the form online the applicant must have the following:

1. Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
2. Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
3. Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
4. Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
5. Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

Fee can be paid by the following methods:

• Credit Card (Master/Visa)
• Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)
• Net Banking

Documents from candidates’ original certificates, mark sheets, and identity proofs must be scanned. Once the candidate has uploaded the document, they must click the next button to see the Form preview option. Candidates should save and print the form for future reference. At the time of admission, a non-refundable registration fee will be levied in addition to the programme fees for the first semester/year.
