The Samajwadi Party (SP) has expelled three sitting MLAs, Abhay Singh (Gosainganj), Rakesh Pratap Singh (Gauriganj), and Manoj Kumar Pandey (Unchahar), for activities deemed harmful to the party's integrity and public welfare. The party issued an official statement on Monday, alleging that the trio supported divisive and communal ideologies that are in direct conflict with the SP's inclusive, progressive, and secular stance.

According to the party leadership, the expelled legislators were found endorsing elements that stand against the interests of key societal groups, including farmers, women, youth, and marginalized communities. The statement highlighted that these MLAs were given multiple opportunities to align with party principles but failed to do so, prompting strict disciplinary action. Their removal signals the party’s zero-tolerance approach toward members who deviate from its pro-people, socialist framework.
The SP also cautioned its cadre and public representatives, stating that future violations of ideological discipline or engagement in anti-public conduct would result in permanent expulsion. Ending on a firm yet philosophical note, the statement urged all members to remain trustworthy and committed to the party's mission. This move is seen as part of a broader effort by the SP to consolidate its base ahead of upcoming political battles, ensuring internal unity and a clear ideological roadmap.
