Chaturvedi criticises Pakistan’s past, mocks Bhutto, highlights India’s global progress, free trade achievements, and warns against terrorist arrangements.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi recently threw a strong critique of Pakistan’s political history and leadership while speaking to the Indian diaspora in Belgium. She took a sharp jab at former Pakistan foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, mocking his recent remark about India’s Operation Sindoor. Bhutto had questioned the operation’s timing, suggesting only cowards attack in the dark. In response, Chaturvedi clarified what a "coward" truly is referring to those responsible for coups, jailing political leaders, and murdering elected prime ministers to place army generals in power.
She further pointed out how such actions damaged Pakistan’s democracy and fuelled radicalisation, straying far from Jinnah’s original vision for the country. Chaturvedi also mocked an upcoming Pakistani delegation, saying that even after more than 70 years since their separation, Pakistan continues to follow India, refusing to move on from 1947.
Speaking in London as part of an all-party delegation, she compared India’s global progress with Pakistan’s international role. Chaturvedi highlighted that India has successfully signed free trade agreements with nations like the United Kingdom and Australia and is now preparing similar pacts with the European Union and the United States. In contrast, she accused Pakistan of promoting what she called a "free terrorist arrangement" worldwide.
Her comments not only criticised Pakistan’s past but also showcased India’s achievements on the global stage, especially in areas like diplomacy and economic growth through strategic trade partnerships.
