A tragic accident occurred on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district when a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle lost control and plunged into a deep gorge. The incident took place in the Tikri area, where the vehicle lost control on a turn and rolled down into the ravine.
Rescue and relief operations were launched immediately after the incident. Several personnel were reported injured and have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Some are said to be in critical condition.
The administration has ordered an investigation into the matter. This accident once again highlights the dangers faced by security forces in hilly regions, especially when they are performing their duties in remote and challenging areas.
