A major accident took place in Manoharthana block of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan on Friday morning. The roof and wall of the government school in Piplodi village suddenly collapsed, due to which 4 children have died so far and many children are feared to be trapped under the debris.
There is panic in the entire village after the accident. Rescue work is going on rapidly. The debris is being removed with the help of JCB on the spot and the injured children have been taken to the hospital.
Education Minister Madan Dilawar has confirmed the death of 3 children and has asked the collector to speed up the relief and treatment arrangements. Jhalawar SP said that many children are injured and some have also died.
The local people are also working with the administration for rescue operations. It is being said that more than 60 children were present in the school at the time of the accident.
According to initial information, the roof of the school was very old and weak. The walls had also become weak due to the continuous rain.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over this incident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
