INDIA Alliance Resolves to Jointly Contest 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

The INDIA group has established a 14-member coordination committee made up of members from several parties, and it has also drafted a resolution to “contest the Lok Sabha elections together as far as possible.”

The INDIA bloc’s two-day conference came to an end on Friday in Mumbai with the adoption of a resolution by 28 parties stating that seat-sharing negotiations will start right away and be finished as soon as possible.

the Shiv Sena UBT), Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Abhishek Banerjee (TMC), Raghav Chadha (AAP), Javed Ali Khan (SP), Lalan Singh (JDU), Hemant Soren (JMM), D Raja (CPI), Omar Abdullah (NC), and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP) are the other members of the 14-member committee that will oversee coordination. The name of one CPI(M) member will be revealed later.

The coalition will hold public protests as soon as feasible on topics of public interest and concern in various locations across the nation, according to the resolution. The coordination committee will also combine the media strategies and campaigns with the theme “Judega Bharat, Jiteega India” into one. This would be done in a variety of languages.

In addition, four other committees are established: a campaign committee, a group for social media, a group for media, and a third group for research. 63 members from 28 opposition parties took part in the third official INDIA alliance meeting, which was held in Mumbai.

The Centre announced that the Parliament would have an extraordinary session from September 18 to September 22. This announcement coincided with the Mumbai conference and the decision. A committee led by former president Ram Nath Kovind was established by the central government the following day, on Friday, to investigate the idea of “one nation, one election.”

The government’s decision to form this committee has been criticized by the opposition. Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena lawmaker, referred to it as a “conspiracy to delay elections,” while Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge declared that the time has come for the “autocratic” National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration to leave office.

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, stated at the news conference that the individuals seated at this stage represent 60% of India’s population. Therefore, if we all work together, we will undoubtedly beat the BJP. According to Lalu Prasad Yadav, all parties accepted a deal regarding seat sharing.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, warns that there would be allegations that our partnership is having problems in the coming days. They’ll claim that we’re fighting in these sessions. However, that is untrue. We share obligations and are all here together. Nobody in this room supports any position.

Rahul addressed the party workers immediately following the INDIA meeting and declared, “Hamari party toh nahi tooti (Our party didn’t split).”

Which political party is leading the way in Maharashtra? Party toh nahi tooti hamari. Why? because you are an ideological party. I’ll explain the distinction between an ideology-based party and others. The DNA will be the same if we draw blood from you people. You are not afraid of anything. This is the Karyakarta party of the congress. This is your blood.

“Modi had given Congress’s Mukt Bharat slogan. When the world’s greatest power, England, failed to create a Congress-free India. How will the Modi administration carry it out? Congress, however, took it away (from India). Modi ji too believes that he and Adani will depose the Congress party. He believes that Adani’s resources can destroy the Congress party.

Following the press conference, Uddhav Thackeray spoke to the media separately and declared that a convenor is no longer necessary.

There are currently numerous groups in place to handle the national programme, social media campaign, and rallies. There are representatives from all parties. Thus, a convener is no longer required. The situation will be examined, and now is the appropriate time to act. We’ll even hold a public rally together shortly.
