From Anganwadi Worker’s Son to DSP: Ujjwal Kumar’s Inspiring Journey

Ujjwal Kumar of Bihar’s Sitamarhi district won the 69th Combined Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission. The final result was announced on November 26.

Ujjwal Kumar’s success story, as a Raipur village inhabitant, depicts the goals of a young guy from a middle-class family. His mother is an Anganwadi worker, while his father, Subodh Kumar, is a local coaching teacher.

“I was sure of being selected, but I could not believe the number one rank at all,” Ujjwal Kumar told me. He presently works as a Block Welfare Officer.

Kumar, the BPSC topper, talked about his history, saying, “Some relatives used to say that this boy was not a student when I was studying in Class 10.” I wasn’t a bad student. My relatives frequently reprimanded my parents, even after I quit my engineering profession. However, my parents and siblings continued to believe in me.

Ujjwal Kumar achieved the top rank in the BPSC examination, having studied in the Hindi medium. “In the last 10 years, no student from the Hindi medium has become the BPSC topper,” he said.
