‘Digital India Experience Zone’ to Showcase India’s Digital Advancements at G20 Summit

As part of India’s G20 presidency for the year, a ‘Digital India Experience Zone’ will be established during the G20 Summit in New Delhi. This zone aims to showcase India’s digital advancements to member nations and other guest nations, offering delegates the opportunity to experience the transformative impact of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPIs) firsthand. It is expected to be a key attraction during the summit.

The primary objectives of the exhibition are to demonstrate initiatives that promote “Ease of Living, Ease of Doing Business, and Ease of Governance.” Seven key initiatives have been carefully selected to showcase best practices in implementing DPIs, including Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UPI, eSanjeevani, DIKSHA, Bhashini, and ONDC.

The exhibition will present the Digital India journey, starting from 2014, through virtual reality, highlighting significant achievements and progress in the digital realm. The Digital Tree display will provide insights into the development of Digital India initiatives.

To experience India’s best practices in implementing DPIs, G20 delegates can visit Hall 4 and Hall 14 in the Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, the venue of the summit. This initiative aims to raise awareness among global stakeholders about India’s scalable and replicable digital projects.

Some key digital attractions featured in the ‘Digital India Experience Zone’ include:

  1. Bhashini exhibit: Demonstrating real-time speech-to-speech translation in multiple Indian languages and six UN languages.
  2. eSanjeevani exhibit: Highlighting the digital platform that offers online consultations with doctors from various specialties, real-time health analysis, and e-prescriptions, improving healthcare accessibility.
  3. DIKSHA: A digital platform for educational resources, providing an intuitive experience for exploring extensive content.
  4. DigiLocker: Showcasing India’s role in streamlining processes and improving efficiency in sectors such as education, finance, banking, travel, transport, real estate, legal, and judiciary.
  5. UPI exhibit: Demonstrating the global applications of UPI, enabling visitors to make seamless transactions using QR codes.
  6. Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC): Illustrating its collaboration with sellers, customers, and network providers on a grand scale.
  7. G.I.T.A. application: Developed to provide answers to life-related questions in alignment with the holy book Shrimad Bhagwad Gita.

This ‘Digital India Experience Zone’ serves as a platform to showcase India’s digital achievements and its commitment to advancing technology and innovation for the benefit of its citizens and the global community.
