Delhi University’s 100th Convocation: Degrees to Feature Enhanced Security, Coloured Stoles

Delhi University’s 100th convocation event will take place on February 24, 2024. The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, will attend the ceremony as the principal guest. According to the report, 1.38 lakh undergraduate and postgraduate students will obtain their degrees.

The Vice President has announced that postgraduate students would wear turquoise stoles with a gold border featuring the institution and Shatabdi logos on both sides. Undergraduate students will wear a yellow stole with a golden border featuring the university and Shatabdi logos on both sides.

Furthermore, PhD students from Delhi University will wear a crimson stole with a golden border featuring the university and Shatabdi logos on both sides.

The Vice President further added that the officers would wear a purple-coloured stole, while the principals would wear a maroon-coloured stole.

The University of Delhi will award degrees to students that will have security features like the ones on the Indian currency notes. Professor Yogesh Singh said that the degree will have 17 different security features, like currency notes, due to which it will not be easy to copy them.

Further, for the first time, the degrees will have the names of mothers printed on them. And colored photos of students will also be printed on the degrees.
