Delhi Nursery Admissions 2025-26 to Begin Soon: Key Dates and Eligibility

The Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education has issued the admission schedule for entry-level classes (children under the age of six) at private unaided recognized schools for the academic year 2025-26.

The timetable includes Open Seat admissions for groups other than Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN).

Important Dates and Process Highlights

November 25, 2024: Schools must upload their particular admission criteria and related points to the Directorate’s module.

The admissions process will begin on November 28, 2024, with forms made accessible.

December 20, 2024: Deadline for submitting application forms in schools.

January 17, 2025: Schools will publish the first list of selected applicants, including waiting lists, using a point-based system.

January 18-27, 2025: Period allotted for resolving any parent queries regarding the points awarded.

February 3, 2025: Second list of selected candidates (if applicable).

March 14, 2025: Admission process officially closes.

To maintain openness, the timetable requires schools to clearly publish the admission timeline on notice boards and websites. Schools can only charge a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 25 and make purchasing the school prospectus optional.

Notably, 25% of seats are designated for EWS, DG, and CWSN students, in accordance with the Right to Education Act regulations.

This streamlined admission framework aims to provide a fair and organized entry-level admission process, enhancing accessibility for young students in Delhi’s private schools.
