Communal Clashes Erupt in Haryana’s Nuh District

On Monday, rioters flung stones at the Vishva Hindu Parishad parade in Haryana’s Nuh district, killing two home guards and injuring more than 15 others, including numerous police officers. A group of young guys also set fire to automobiles and a shop. They also obstructed traffic for several hours.

Following the communal riots, Haryana’s Nuh district has temporarily halted mobile internet connections till August 2 in order to calm the “intense communal tension.”

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij stated that the administration has sent reinforcements from neighbouring districts. “We are also trying to send forces by helicopter,” he told PTI.

According to Vij, police evacuated about 2,500 people, including women and children, from the Shiva temple in Nuh. These appeared to include enthusiasts as well as individuals who had sought refuge there when the two sides clashed.

As a precautionary measure, educational institutes in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal districts were ordered closed on Tuesday.

What caused the conflicts between two groups, Nuh Violence?

Ten minutes after the Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, clashes between the two factions erupted. More than 200 people began walking from Edward Chowk in Nuh town at 2 p.m. The parade was then stoned by a large crowd. The Hindu side initially fled, but later retaliated.

According to some reports, the clash was sparked by an inappropriate video shared on social media by a Bajrang Dal activist in Ballabhgarh.

According to the reports, Monu Manesar, a cow vigilante who was previously arrested for the murder of two Muslim males whose burnt carcasses were discovered in the Bhiwani area in February, was meant to attend the parade.

However, Monu Manesar did not attend on the advice of the VHP, which believed that his presence would cause tension, according to the vigilante. On Twitter, there were also threats challenging him to come to Nuh.
