The United States will keep attacking Yemen’s Houthis, until the end of attacks on shipping, the US Defence Secretary said on Sunday, as the militant group advised of raising its attacks the day ahead.

The Houthis-led health ministry said the airstrikes killed 53 people. This is the biggest US-run military operation in the Middle East since President Donald Trump took office in January. According to some sources, this crusade might continue for weeks.

Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech on Sunday, that they'll continue attacks on US vessels in the Red Sea as long as the US continues its attacks on Yemen. However, we will continue the escalation ” he added, “ If they continue their aggression.

The Houthis are a fortified political and religious, Iranian-backed militant group that is against Israel. Formally known as the Ansar Allah( Partisans of God), the group surfaced in the 1990s and takes its name from the movement's late author, Hussein al-Houthi.
