US Envoy Steve Witkoff Heads to Europe for Gaza Ceasefire Talks with Israel and Qatar
U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, is set to visit Europe this week for discussions concerning the Israel-Gaza war and related regional matters, a U.S. official confirmed on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). Witkoff is expected to continue efforts toward securing a ceasefire in Gaza. According to Axios, he will leave for Rome on Wednesday and is scheduled to meet Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer and a senior Qatari official on Thursday (July 24).
