In a notable development in international defense relations, the United States has confirmed a defense deal with Pakistan, under which Islamabad will get AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM). These missiles is compatible with Pakistan's fleet of F-16 fighter jets, making their operational capabilities stronger.

The U.S. Department of War announced the agreement, marking a significant arms transfer. The AIM-120 missiles was reportedly used by Pakistan in response to the Balakot airstrikes, showing their operational importance. This delivery is expected to boost Pakistan’s air defense capabilities and also reflects ongoing defense cooperation between the two nations.
