Actress Shefali Jariwala, best known for her appearance in Bigg Boss 13 and the iconic early 2000s remix Kaanta Laga, passed away on Friday, June 27, at the age of 42. According to reports, she suffered a cardiac arrest at her residence in Mumbai. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, immediately rushed her to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Born on December 15, 1982, in Mumbai, Shefali shot to fame with her bold and memorable performance in the remix of Kaanta Laga, which became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s. Over her two-decade-long career, she featured in various music videos, reality TV shows, and films.

Following the success of Kaanta Laga, Shefali appeared in other popular remixes such as Sweet Honey Mix and Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar. She made her Bollywood debut with a small role in the 2004 hit Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra.
