In just four days, the film has not only crossed a staggering ₹393 crore (approximately $45 million) worldwide but has also claimed the number-one spot globally outpacing Weapons, Nobody 2, and even Freakier Friday.
That ₹393 crore total comes from a sharp India haul of ₹194.25 crore net (₹233 crore gross) plus over $18 million (₹160 crore) from overseas markets an extraordinary feat for a Tamil film. Coolie is racing toward the ₹200 crore milestone at home, possibly becoming the fastest Tamil film ever to do so.
Globally, the timing couldn't be better. With Hollywood’s summer tentpole season winding down and no major US release to challenge it, Coolie smoothly claimed the top weekend spot.
