Prince Harry Seeks Reconciliation After Losing UK Security Case, Blames Palace for Risks

Prince Harry has expressed a desire to reconcile with his family following a court loss regarding his publicly funded security, which he claims led to King Charles III ceasing communication with him. Speaking to the BBC, Harry said he wants peace, especially as his father battles cancer. However, he criticized Buckingham Palace for influencing the decision to revoke his security after stepping down from royal duties and moving to the U.S.

The court ruled unanimously that the 2020 decision to provide Harry with only case-by-case protection was lawful. Though disappointed, Harry emphasized the ruling jeopardizes his family's safety during U.K. visits, making it difficult to return. He believes palace officials, including two on the security committee, orchestrated the downgrade to control him and Meghan.

Harry urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to review the decision, insisting safety should override differences. While Buckingham Palace supported the ruling, Harry questioned whether government and royal leaders truly prioritized his family's protection.

He also cited serious security threats and accused the palace of endangering his family. Though Harry has faced court setbacks, he’s secured victories in major privacy lawsuits against British tabloids.
