Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has described the Indian missile strikes as an act of war, stating that Pakistan reserves the full right to respond. He claimed that India attacked five locations within Pakistan and asserted that the entire nation stands united with the Pakistani military.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also issued a strong statement, declaring that Pakistan will respond with full force.

Military spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that India targeted Kotli and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Bahawalpur in Punjab. According to him, the strikes killed three Pakistanis and injured twelve others. In response, Pakistan has closed its airspace for 48 hours.

India has also taken several other measures against Pakistan, including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and closing cross-border entry points. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given the Indian armed forces complete freedom to decide the method, timing, and targets of the attacks.
