Operation Sindoor: Over 100 Terrorists Killed, 11 Pakistani Air Bases Destroyed, Say Indian Armed Forces
India’s Armed Forces held a detailed press conference on Sunday to update the public on the progress of Operation Sindoor. During the briefing, they announced that more than 100 terrorists, including key figures like Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudasir Ahmed, had been neutralised. Additionally, between May 7 and 10, around 35 to 40 Pakistani Army personnel were reportedly killed in exchanges of artillery and small arms fire along the Line of Control (LoC).
The results of Operation Sindoor were jointly presented by Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai (Director General of Military Operations), Vice Admiral A N Pramod (Director General of Naval Operations), and Air Marshal A K Bharti (Director General of Air Operations). They stated that 11 Pakistani air bases were destroyed in the strikes, causing substantial damage to Pakistan's military infrastructure.
Lieutenant General Ghai also announced that a DGMO-level dialogue between India and Pakistan is scheduled for Monday at 12 noon.
However, despite the agreement reached on Saturday to cease all military hostilities across land, air, and sea, Pakistan reportedly violated the ceasefire within hours. Drones were observed in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday night, followed by the sound of explosions.
Responding to the violations, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri urged Pakistan to approach the situation with “seriousness” and “responsibility.”
