ICAI Postpones Remaining CA May 2025 Exams Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the remaining papers of the CA May 2025 examinations due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. In an official announcement on its website, the institute cited the current security concerns across the country as the reason for this decision. The postponed exams include the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations, specifically the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT), which were originally scheduled between May 9 and May 14.

The ICAI notification stated: “It is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed."

As per the original timetable, the examinations began on May 2 and were to conclude on May 14. Intermediate Group 1 exams were held on May 3, 5, and 7, while Group 2 exams were planned for May 9, 11, and 14. Final Group 1 papers were conducted on May 2, 4, and 6, with Group 2 papers scheduled for May 8, 10, and 13. Most exams were to take place from 2 PM to 5 PM, except for Final Paper 6, which was scheduled until 6 PM.

The ICAI has stated that the revised dates for the affected exams will be announced in due course. Candidates are advised to stay updated by regularly checking the official ICAI website and following any new notifications released by the institute.
