Heatwave Alert: Intense Heat Sweeps the Country, IMD Issues Warning for 7 States

Heatwave Alert: The weather is getting hotter in many parts of the country. According to the IMD, temperatures will gradually rise, and a heatwave is expected to affect seven states starting today. The mercury in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh could increase by up to 5 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave Yellow Alert in Rajasthan:

Several districts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Bikaner, and Nagaur, have been issued a heatwave warning. Temperatures could reach 44-45°C. There is no relief expected from the heat for the next 4-5 days.

Delhi Weather:

The weather in Delhi will remain clear today. Winds could blow at a speed of 20-30 km/h. The maximum temperature will be around 38°C, with a minimum temperature of 23°C.

Uttar Pradesh Weather:

The weather in Lucknow will remain clear, with winds blowing at 10-15 km/h. The maximum temperature could reach 35°C, with a minimum temperature of 24°C. Agra will experience intense sunshine, and temperatures could rise to 43°C over the next two days.

Rising Heat in Gujarat:

In Kandla, Gujarat, the temperature has surpassed 43°C. Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are also experiencing intense heat. The weather department has stated that there is no relief expected anytime soon.

Heatwave Alert in Punjab:

The heat is also intensifying in Punjab. A yellow heatwave alert has been issued for the period from April 15 to 17. Temperatures in several areas could be 5-6 degrees higher than normal.
