In a significant global recognition, four Indian schools have made it to the final round of the 2025 World’s Best School Prizes, an annual international award presented by UK-based T4 Education. These awards honour exceptional schools that demonstrate innovation, impactful community engagement, and progressive educational practices. Winners will be revealed in October 2025, followed by a special event at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi this November.

The shortlisted schools come from varied regions and represent diverse categories. Government Girls Senior Secondary School, NIT 5, Faridabad, Haryana, is a finalist in the Supporting Healthy Lives category, known for its robust health, nutrition, and mental wellness programs tailored for young girls from underserved communities. In Maharashtra’s Khed region, ZP School Jalindar Nagar has been recognised in the Community Collaboration category for its creative “Subject Friend” peer mentoring initiative. Ekya School in J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru, has earned a place in the Innovation category for integrating Design Thinking into its everyday curriculum to spark creativity and problem-solving. Delhi Public School in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has been nominated for the Environmental Action category due to its curriculum focused on environmental awareness and sustainable development.

Vikas Pota, the founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Prizes, emphasised the power of education in tackling urgent global concerns, including climate change, equity, and community resilience. The competition also features a Community Choice Award, where the public can vote for their favourite school. Final winners will be selected by a panel of education experts and will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the Abu Dhabi summit, serving as global models of best educational practices and youth empowerment.
