FBI Offers $250,000 Reward for Texas Woman Accused of Killing Son, Fleeing to India
The FBI has placed a $250,000 bounty for any information leading to the capture of Cindy Rodriguez Singh, a Texas woman accused of murdering her six-year-old son and fleeing to India. Now listed among the FBI's most wanted fugitives, Singh was last seen in March 2023 traveling with her husband and six children on an international flight to India. According to the FBI, the missing child was not with them on the flight and is believed to have never boarded it. Authorities say Singh has not returned to the U.S. since.
The reward for information on Singh was recently raised tenfold—from $25,000 to $250,000—due to her high flight risk status.
Who is Cindy Rodriguez Singh?
Born in 1985, Singh is originally from Dallas, Texas. She is between 5'1" and 5'3" tall, weighs between 120 and 140 pounds, and has a medium complexion. She has brown eyes, brown hair, and multiple tattoos on her back, both legs, right arm, right hand, and right calf.
Singh is accused of killing her son, Noel Alvarez, in March 2023. Although the boy was last seen in October 2022, his disappearance wasn’t reported until March 2023, prompting an Amber Alert in Texas. At that point, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services requested the Everman Police Department to perform a welfare check on Noel. During the check, Singh allegedly misled investigators, claiming the boy had been sent to Mexico with his biological father in November 2022.
Just two days after that welfare visit, Singh, along with her husband Arshdeep Singh and six other children, boarded a flight to India—without Noel.
In October 2023, Singh was formally charged with Capital Murder in Tarrant County District Court in Fort Worth, Texas. A month later, a federal arrest warrant was issued after she was charged with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. The investigation remains ongoing, and the FBI is urging anyone with information to come forward.
