Vijay Shah Remarks on Sofiya Qureshi: Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah made a controversial statement about Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, which has sparked widespread criticism. Several opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, have demanded his resignation. Congress leader Srinivas BV also issued a strong response.

Srinivas BV shared a video of Vijay Shah on social media platform X and wrote,

"This vile and disgusting man is a BJP minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, who is calling the brave daughter of India, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, a sister of Pakistanis."

In his controversial remark, Vijay Shah referred to Operation Sindoor, stating that terrorists had stripped and killed Hindus. That is why, he said, Prime Minister Modi sent "his sister" to Pakistan so that she could avenge the atrocities. He added, "Our sisters were widowed, so we sent a sister from that same community to Pakistan as a response."

The minister’s statement has sparked massive outrage on social media and among opposition leaders.
